2021 KTM 390 Adventure

As of 1-8-23 I have about 6,500 miles on it---no problems with it so far.
Since owning it-----I love riding it but have spent most of my riding time on 3 other bikes I have.

Stock tools-------not bad really. Will get the wheels off amongst other things.

Mount for my gps.
I just drilled a hole in that gps mount thingy and put a Ram ball mirror mount in there--then a ram short arm and
Garmin Amps mount.

Bike Master Heated Grips

Had the 390 Down along the Mexican border all winter.
Has my Butle "Texas Hill Country" map out for some reference

First oil change---both stainless screens had nasty bits in it----not what you really want to see.

Tusk Tail rack from Rocky Mountain ATV------super easy install.

Rubber stuff to keep tail bag from sliding around.

Added Tusk saddle bag racks to the tail bag rack.

I had some old wolfman 18 litre expedition saddle bags laying around. These have plastic insert in them I made
and a Tusk quick release adaptor is bolter to the back. These bags come on and off in 3 seconds.

So look how wide this is----Tusk had to get them out beyond the muffler.
I couldn't stand this.

Just compare the above picture with this one-----much better!!!!
I completely reworked the Tusk saddlebag racks.

Work In Progress--and lot of cutting, welding and bending had to be done.

It was alot of work---but I lowered the muffler a lot by just loosening a clamp---but then had to extend a bracket quite a bit.
This allowed me to completely rework the Tusk racks---they are a little higher now and way narrower.
Man I'm so glad I did this.

Installed steering damper from bestdualsportbikes.com

I could have just ordered the mount as I had an old Scotts Steering Damper laying around that I had
used on multiple bikes----it would have bolted right in.
But.........It had been to alaska twice--all the BDR's---continental Divide Trail---TAT more than once--Baja
multiple times and gobs of other long rides over the years---seemed to be working fine, but maybe it was
time for a new one. This kit came with a new damper----not a genuine Scotts I don't think. No name
no numbers ????
Took me about 1 1/2 hrs. to install.

The tower pin just screwed right in where the front tank mount was.
Sorry for the sideways pictures-------I hate phone pictures. Doesn't work with my website software.

Be gearing up for the Wyoming BDR this year in 2022
A BigDog custom modified BDR map will cost you plenty--------only one made.

Installed Tusk high fender kit from Rocky Mountain ATV--------about $100 I think.

Removed stock plastic handguards and installed Cycra Pro-Bend aluminum handguards with shields.
I drilled and re-tapped the threaded inserts in the ends of the handlebars to a much larger screw size.
About $120 from Rocky Mountain ATV
