2009 Aluma enclosed V-nose
trailer
$4,300 firm------- I think these retail for over $7,000
It is a model AE612
Here Aluma's website which tells a whole lot
more.
Aluma calls it a 6' X 12" trailer.
The only thing steel is the torsion axle and coupler.
The inside measurements are 5' 10" wide--12' 3" long and 6" tall
You can see it has rear stabilzers on the
back bottom of the traler to stabilize
the trailer if you don't have it hooked to a vehicle---otherwise it might tip
while loading or unloading.
I think the wheels are 15" and I do not
have a spare.
The trailer is extremely nice and the roof does not leak.
The rear ramp door is spring assisted so anybody
can open or close it.
All exterior lights are LED and all work.
The dog will cost you an extra $40,000 and
rehabilitation fees !!!
He's my best friend--please don't take him.
2 locking mechanisms are provided on the rear ramp door.
The side door is kind of like a travel trailer
door and can be locked from the inside if you wanted
to camp in it. I have the key for the door. It has both a regular lock and a
dead bolt.
There is a very small ding in the lower part
of the door---you may not have
ever noticed it.
There is another ding in the very top front
where I barely kissed a low motel entrance--no leaks
or problems with this dent. You may not have noticed it either.
You can see the swivel wheel which folds up
when not in use.
Aluminum wheels with like new tires.
I assume they are the originals.
Inside light which is operated by a wall switch.
There are 2 vents that can be opened or closed--one
is in the lower side of the trailer and the
other is in the upper side.
These floor tie down points are recessed and scattered throughout the floor of the trailer.
I pulled it with my V-6 Toyota FJ Cruiser.
It pulls superbly---and I would assume the lightest thing you could have in
a 6X12 enclosed trailer.
There are 2 brand new ATK bike shoes in the
trailer which are bolted to a 3/4" piece of plywood
which can be remove in 30 seconds. I have the bike shoes mounted so the bikes
handlebars
don't hit each other.
If your not familiar with the bike shoes--they will hold a 21" front wheel
without any other
means of attachment. The neat part about these is not only how quick you can
tie a bike
down (about 4 seconds), but also how your suspension is not compressed.
These are not for road going bikes. They are about $100 a piece if you buy them---and
these are brand new.
There is also a front wheel chock in the middle
up front.
I"ve never hauled 3 bikes in it and don't know if you could.
It looks like you could--I just never tried it.
Maybe if they are all dirt bikes.
Of course if hauling one bike you could haul a goldwing in here.
I have had my KTM950 and my Yamaha WR250R in there side by side.
All the Widder Stuff Below-----$160
All this stuff fits a 195 lb. 5'11" 44 chest 36" waist
guy.
A Complete system. One heated vest, One pair of arm chaps--2 pair of gloves--
2 battery hookups-leg chaps. I won't seperate this stuff----It all goes for
$160.
Just the jacket and arm chaps were well over $200 new.
Vest size 46---notice the included arm chaps.
The arm chaps are removable and have hookups at the end of the sleeve
to power the heated gloves. This vest is in excellent condition and is only
about
a year or so old---it's been rarely used--it's my 4th widder vest I've bought
over the years.
10 years old----almost never used--I always
preferred my less bulky one below.
Size large---about a 10 I'd say.
Legs chaps---almost never used--my legs are the last thing to get cold.
This electronic controller works erratically----you
could splice in a $2 switch and be good to go.
Or you can still by all hookups for widder vests on-line even tho widder is
out of business.
I have 2 of these battery hookups--this dirty one has been on my ole' ratty KLR for 52,000 miles.
Man these are like an ole friend---the original
heated gloves from Widder.
They are well used----they've been used a lot and still work.
Size Large--about a 10 I'd say.
